Strapped

During an unprecedented time of closures in queer nightlife, Strapped aimed to bridge the gap for lesbian, non-binary and trans people who want to party in a playful community-focused safe space. Commissioned to art direct and photograph for Strapped in collaboration with designer Jenny Mach - setting out to create sensual, dynamic visuals to excite their community into becoming part of the movement.

As the Strapped brand permeates the London queer nightlife scene, a steadfast community quickly started to develop. In order to nurture growth and keep the representation genuine, we focused on casting community members and regular Strapped goers.

By the second month’s edition of Strapped, the night was featured in the Evening Standard as ‘one to watch’ forming part of ‘London’s Lesbian Renaissance’. Not only has CC photographed and styled each campaign, they are a regular DJ on the Strapped lineup.

Casting queer couples for the Pride Campaign meant CC was able to capture genuine intimacy and chemistry. As Strapped’s first ever day party, the creative needed to be brighter and more joyful, while maintaining the grungy sexiness that the Strapped community had come to expect.
